Jack Brown first started painting when he was fourteen.
He won first prize for Senior Art in a National Travel Scholarship and Educational Awards scheme aged just sixteen.
Jack initially studied at the Glasgow School of Art but left to pursue a career in music which he did for almost twenty years.
He returned to Glasgow many years later and did a diploma course in Art and Design .
Jack then did a course at GSA in figure painting and a couple of extra mural courses at Kelvingrove in Painting and Fine Art .
He has been working as a professional Illustrator and Artist since 1988.
Jack has a very deep affection for Scotland and loves to paint the Landscape “en plein air ” all year round.
He spends much of his time between Skye and Glasgow .
