Mary Mackinnon

I left the teaching profession two years ago after more than thirty years. I had been a part-time artist for ten of those years and felt the time had come to devote all my time to art.

At present I attend the Edinburgh College of Art on a part-time BA in Combined Studies.

This provides me with the opportunity to update my ideas, for reflection, for exploration of new materials and media.

 This is a transition time for me and I am happy to have the opportunity to exhibit these changes.

 Seascapes and landscapes are still my main areas of interest, but am extending into still life  and figurative work.

 It is an exciting journey.
